Honoring a common Founder, sharing a common vision, supporting each other…
Nan Merrill was an integral part of the community of visionary thinkers who imagined the Guild for Spiritual Guidance into being. In the late 1980’s, with the help of a small group of 40 others, Nan began to hand publish (and address) a small pamphlet called, Friends of Silence; a small pamphlet dedicated to keeping before us the eternal question, “Is there enough silence for the Word to be heard.” Month after month, without fail for 36 years, Friends of Silence has been delivered to doors and computer screens. A dedicated community continues to keep Nan’s vision and the flame of encouragement alive for the now over 10,000 recipients who receive this small gift each month.
Friends of Silence and The Guild for Spiritual Guidance, in the spirit of shared vision, have begun to support each other’s work by sharing program offerings on each other’s website. You are invited to take a look at this new Friends of Silence space on the Guild website and in the events section of the FOS website. …Spirit is the foundation of our lives.
