The Guild for Spiritual Guidance warmly invites you to a free discussion of Michael Conti’s 2014 documentary, The Unruly Mystic: Saint Hildegard. Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179) is venerated worldwide today by theologians, artists, musicians, medical practitioners, and educators. Her spiritual awareness was grounded in what she called, the reflection of the living Light. Considered by many to be the patron saint of creativity, she was an abbess, Christian mystic, visionary, a musical composer, writer and healer who created natural remedies widely used in Europe today. She is also considered by a number of scholars to be the founder of scientific natural history in Germany.

This film is a celebration of one woman’s legacy and encourages us to listen, seek wholeness and creative expression, and heed the calling of our souls. Explore how Hildegard’s influence resonates today. We’d love to hear your thoughts on this important female mystic.
