THE REV. DIANNE DISSTON, LP, NCPsyA    •  

APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM COORDINATOR, DEPTH PSYCHOLOGY CULTIVATOR & SACRED COMMUNITY CULTIVATOR

​​Dianne is a Psychoanalyst in Brewster, New York and a Spiritual Guide in New York, Connecticut and world-wide through video conference. A Staff member of The Guild for Spiritual Guidance since 2010, Dianne received her BA in Business Administration and Psychology from Marymount College and an MA in Leadership from Manhattanville College. After 25 years in the corporate world as a training facilitator, coach, and manager, Dianne attended The New Seminary and was ordained as an Interfaith Minister in 2003 at St. John the Divine in NYC. In June 2010 she graduated with a Certificate in Psychoanalysis from The Westchester Institute for Psychoanalysis in Bedford Hills, NY, and is now a Licensed Psychoanalyst in New York State. Dianne is married to Todd and has two adult children, David and Ashleigh.

THE REV. ​DOROTHÉE R. CAULFIELD • ASSISTANT TO THE AP COORDINATOR, TECHNICAL ADVISOR, & SACRED COMMUNITY CULTIVATOR

Dorothée Caulfield, Assistant to the Coordinator of the Apprenticeship Program, is an ordained deacon in the Episcopal church and Spiritual Director. She is the deacon to two sister parishes in the Ossining NY area. Dorothée has worked as a hospice spiritual guide for Phelps Hospice as well as the on-call chaplain to Phelps Memorial Hospital. Since 2000 she has volunteered at Sing Sing Correctional Facility and has been the Director of Ossining Prison Ministry since 2014. She chairs the Diocesan Prison Ministry Committee as well as having served as a member of the Deacon’s Committee of the Diocese of New York. Dorothée and her husband, Rick, have 3 grown sons and two grandchildren. Besides her family, she loves knitting, reading, and travel.

DR. BERNICE MARIE-DALY • EVOLUTIONARY COSMOLOGY CULTIVATOR

Bernice Marie-Daly, Ph.D., an educator, and retreat facilitator, holds degrees in Spirituality & Psychology, Counseling, and Philosophy and is a certified Core Energetics Instructor & Practitioner. As founder and director of Awakenings: The New School for Women’s Spirituality, Bernice facilitated in-depth programming in women’s spirituality, justice-making, and the arts. Author of Ecofeminism: Sacred Matter/Sacred Mother (The American Teilhard Association) and co-author of Created in Her Image: Models of the Feminine Divine, Bernice taught interdisciplinary courses in Environmental Studies & Women’s Studies at Fairfield University and World Religions at Norwalk Community College. She has been a member of The Guild for Spiritual Guidance for over thirty-five years.

THE REV. MATTHEW WRIGHT • ​ MYSTIC SPIRITUALITY CULTIVATOR

Mystic Spirituality Cultivator – Matthew Wright is an Episcopal priest, writer, and retreat leader working to renew the Christian Wisdom tradition in a wider interspiritual framework.  He serves as priest-in-charge at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church in Woodstock, NY, and is a teacher for Wisdom Waypoints and The Contemplative Society.  Matthew has studied and collaborated with the Rev. Dr. Cynthia Bourgeault since 2010.  He is also a longtime student of the Mevlevi Sufi tradition under the guidance of Shaikh Kabir and Camille Helminski.  Matthew lives with his wife, Yanick, alongside the brothers of Holy Cross Monastery in West Park, NY.

THE REV. DR. MICHAEL PETROW • DEPTH PSYCHOLOGY CULTIVATOR

The Depth Psychology Cultivator, Rev. Dr. Michael Petrow, currently works with The Center for Action and Contemplation, and as a Spiritual Director. Holding degrees in religious studies, mythology, and psychology, he has previously worked as the director of several spiritual communities, a teacher, a theater chaplain, and a counselor with at-risk youth. A graduate of The Guild for Spiritual Guidance and The Living School, he started his religious education at Moravian College and received his doctorate from Pacifica Graduate Institute, where after exploring how transformation occurs within sacred traditions the world over, his dissertation explored the complementary theories of CG Jung and Origen of Alexandria which teach one to read sacred texts mythically and mystically in order to learn to read one’s own life as a transformational sacred text.

THE REV. SUSAN ROBINSON •  COORDINATOR OF GRADUATE PROGRAMS

Susan Robinson, our Graduate Guild Coordinator, is a Spiritual Director and holds an MA in Anglican Spirituality from The General Theological Seminary. Susan is currently enrolled at the One Spirit Alliance Seminary in Manhattan. She is a retired Academic Librarian who worked both at Iona College in New Rochelle, and as an Associate Professor of Library Science at Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York.

DR. DENISE TANGNEY • ENGAGED WISDOM COORDINATOR

Dr. Tangney is a storyteller, educator, and archeologist of the soul.
She embraces the work of Teilhard de Chardin, Thomas Berry and Brian Swimm, and Maria Montesorri. Her latest experiential workshops are:
Braiding Love: The Universe Story, The Christian Story, Your Story
Earthing Spiritual Literacy: How to link spiritual development and education to a new Earth Consciousness
Denise holds a BA in Theology from Molloy College, MA in school district administration from the College of New Rochelle, MA in Transcultural Studies from Adelphi University, and a Doctor of Ministry from the Leadership Institute of Graduate Theological.
Dr. Tangney received certification from United Nations International and the University of Peace as an Earth Charter Educator.She has been a member of the Guild for Spiritual Guidance since 1997.
She has been a Third Order Franciscan since 1987.
