Holly Moore, MEd, MA

Holly offers interfaith individual and group spiritual direction in Woodstock, NY. After a career as an elementary teacher, she felt a call to the ministry of spiritual guidance and retreat leadership. Holly completed the two-year Apprenticeship Program of The Guild for Spiritual Guidance in 2005, and then a master’s degree and an advanced certificate in spiritual direction from Fordham University.  She has served as Guild board secretary, board chair, and assistant to the Apprenticeship Program coordinator. A life-long United Methodist, Holly companions those of all (or no) faiths and has an affinity for those being invited by Spirit to deeper and broader places in their spiritual life. Her life-long experience of growing and deepening a fairly traditional religious upbringing and discovering new riches in the spiritual life enables her to accompany others traveling a similar path. Holly’s joy is providing a welcoming and safe space for deep conversation in which people are invited to notice and respond to the movement of Spirit in everyday life, to reflect on their dreams, and to wonder about their image of God. Time in nature, journaling, centering prayer, and deep conversations with anam-cara friends help her recognize Spirit in her life and the world around her. She is married to Jim with three grown children and nine marvelous grandchildren.
